PRO-FRIENDS: A company that has a corporate social responsibility

The Property Company of Friends, Inc. is a real estate development company established back in 1999 by a group of like-minded entrepreneurs with the common passion of building high quality and affordable houses. The group of friends (where the name of the company was derived from, hence Profriends) targets a broad spectrum of markets from middle to upper class with the primary aim of providing families with their dream houses situated in very strategic locations. The value of the company today has more than doubled its value when it first started back in 1999. From a multi-million peso business venture, it is now a multi-billion peso real estate venture that practically demonstrates the company’s longevity, success and capability to deliver. Speaking of delivery, the company, in its 14 years of existence in the real estate development industry has completed and delivered 52 projects. On top of the 52 completed projects, there are 36 developments in the pipeline which includes the Suntech iPark, the company’s first I.T park development venture that is also bound to be a force to be reckoned with in the I.T hub arena.  The company’s vision is to make a mark in the Philippine society by being a foremost impetus in moving the Philippine real estate industry up towards a stable state. Coming from a humble background of building family homes in compact, pocket developments, Profriends slowly inched its way to building townhouses, medium-rise condominiums along with single detached housing units that caters to the higher end market segments. To top all of those noteworthy achievements, the Property Company of Friends, Inc. has also tried its hand on I.T park development in Suntech iPark that further sealed its status as of one of the premier industrial estate developers in the country innovating its way up the big leagues while at the same time continuously pursuing its vision-mission of creating communities and transforming lives. 

To keep up with the other part of its vision-mission which is transforming lives, the company also dabbles in different kinds of activity that adds to the life of its residents therefore impacting the society positively as a whole. I have read through some articles on their PRO-FRIENDS Facebook page and learned about the activities they are involved in to pursue the vision-mission. Beyond the building of homes, they also connect with the residents of their housing development projects by organizing activities that gets everyone involved and busy. One of the recent activities involves providing the residents of Montefaro Village in the City of Imus free livelihood training. It is the first livelihood seminar that was provided by the company that will help provide the residents with skills that enable them to earn something extra on the side. The other recent activity that Profriends got involved in is the Habitat for Humanity house building project to construct new houses for displaced victims of natural calamities. Profriends participated in the activity by sending company volunteers to the build site. These activities prove that Profriends is not all about business but also improvement of people’s lives.
