Lazada Philippines: Giving all the customers the reason to shop online

Ecommerce is an online industry that is only getting bigger. With more Internet users showing up, thanks to smartphones and Internet availability. It only strengthens the market or audience online. This was the reason online malls started to surface the local online platform. It started when website like Lazada came in the into the online business picture, other online competitors run by local businessmen showed up while online shopping continued its rise in the local online market. Ecommerce was a very unpopular online industry in the Philippines before they arrived in the country.

Online shopping was just not a popular option for most local online users in the past. The local online users are more open in dealing at local online classified websites when they want to buy second hand items. Brand new seekers conventionally go to traditional offline malls when they want to buy something. It's actually not surprise since we all grew up going to traditional offline malls when we need something. Time and money can actually be saved if only local consumers choosing online shopping over traditional offline shopping.

What are the benefits we can get if we avail online shopping? As long as local consumers go with online, they can do it wherever they please. Travel expense can now be saved since customers will no longer need to visit traditional mall locations. Lazada Philippines wanted to have this issue resolved the local customers in the Philippines. It was also a challenge for them on how they can tap the untapped market in online. Credit cardholders in the country are quite few, which makes it almost impossible for some customers to pay online. It's just that we also don't trust so easily especially when it involves money transactions.

For most of us, we are aware that in online transactions, frauds and scams may also be possible. The online shopping industry in the country is actually on the rise. They contributed dearly to the Ecommerce industry in less than two years of existence in the country. To showcase that they are legitimate as they can be, they had some TVC slots during primetime on top local channels. Since Ecommerce in the country is limited, how did they come up with a solution? What they did is they offered Cash on Delivery or simple called C.O.D. as an alternative payment method. This is a payment method that is not usually offered by online businesses.

It's actually very risky for a business to offer that kind of payment method. This particular payment method doesn’t require online customers to pay right away. What's great about this is that customers will only pay once they receive their orders. It's a worry-free setup since customers can hold their money until their orders arrives at their home. This is to kill the perception of local online users that shopping at their online mall is safe and secured. I mean what better way to prove their point than give them all the reasons on why they should try it.
