The other early success story  was Jamba a mobile phone content provider that mainly produce ring tones for mobile phones and was purchased by the Company VeriSign, an American company that operates a very complex array of internet infrastructures that includes two of the internet’s thirteen root servers, the official registry for the .com, .net and .name  domains and the .cc as well as the .tv country code level high domains as well as the back-end structures for the .jobs and .edu high level domains are some of the examples of they have.

They are also a provider of security services, managed DNS, cyber threat reporting and Distributed Denial of Service. VeriSign is a huge company that has vast levels of influence behind the curtains of the web. The point being is that the Samwer Brothers got the company’s attention and that in itself is already a feat considering that they were just starting back then. Jamba was acquired by VeriSign for $270 million which is a really huge amount. If that’s the company running the show for Lazada Philippines, it is will not be surprising if the company suddenly receives the attention of big name online shopping conglomerates like amazon.com and who knows, that deal might be brewing inside a board room as of this writing, if that is the case, Lazada will go down into yet another laurel on the Samwer brother’s crown. That is a very exciting thought indeed.
