What makes a good online store in the Philippines

A lot of the local online competitors slowly showed up after Lazada came into the picture while the online shopping trend begun in the Philippines. Before the company was introduced to the market there were not that many online shopping websites in the country that is so dominated by market place websites. Ecommerce was actually slow in growth a year before they have arrived in the Philippines. Local online users initially looked down upon online shopping as an alternative option for addressing their shopping needs. They usually buy second hand items at local online classified ads by most local online users. Customers who want to buy brand new items often visit traditional malls. It can't be helped since it is part of our culture to visit traditional malls when we want to address our shopping needs.

Time and money can actually be saved if only local consumers choosing online shopping over traditional offline shopping. How does online shopping benefit us? Online shopping can be done anywhere the local customer is located. Money spent on travel expense will now be deducted since customers won't need to travel to the location of traditional malls. This is a shopping woe that the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall wanted to solve for the local online customers in the country.

It was actually hard for any online mall to tap the untapped online community of the country. The online market in the country was hard to penetrate since majority of the population can't pay online due to most of them not have their own credit card. It's obvious that we are not comfortable or very trusting in online transactions. With Internet, online frauds and scams will always be present in online transactions. Good thing that Ecommerce now is starting to grow in the Philippines. They contributed dearly to the Ecommerce industry in less than two years of existence in the country.

Customers can even check their TVC on top local channels that was aired during primetime to prove how legitimate they are. They formulated a method in order to break the Ecommerce wall in the country. A newly then alternative payment method called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. was introduced to their online customers. Online malls usually don't offer this kind of alternative payment method to online customers.

Actually, it's a payment method that is quite risky for any online business. Online customers can pay later after they receive their orders with this alternative payment method. Customers can pay cash right after their orders are handed over to them during delivery. This enables customers to keep their money up until their orders are handed over to them in real time. This is to eradicate the way of thinking of local online users about online malls as scams. What more can guarantee a customer feel safe between a deal than having them keep their money until they receive it. It’s a logical and simple issue but it is hard to apply especially from the business’ point of view. It’s the reason why it is very remarkable for them to have this kind payment option to their customers.
