Lazada: The power of online shopping

We always heard our parents telling us that they don’t have time to shop us on malls. This may be because they are too busy with their work or business. During these days, we are tied up and have no options but to wait for them to be available. We only have traditional malls then where we need them to drop us off or accompany us on shopping on traditional malls. This drastically changed when Internet and online stores were integrated together in this generation. Shopping nowadays is more easier since we can now do it traditionally offline or thru online. Since we control the time, we can do it whenever we want. They live in lifestyle where they prefer to live life at night. These are the consumers who don't have time in the morning since they work at night. However, they can't go to malls during regular hours and are only free when it’s closed. These are the people who can't visit malls when they want.

Traditional malls are only available during weekends or holidays. Obviously, it's harder for them to shop compared to people who work on normal hours. It makes it easier for them nowadays since they now have online shopping. Most offline business is now launching it on the online platform as well. What's amazing is that it only started last year in the Philippines. When Lazada arrived in the Philippines, other online malls were established as well. Their arrival makes them one of the first online malls to arrive here. They are made available in other South East Asia countries. After they arrived in the country, Ecommerce immediately grew exponentially. They made an impact on Ecommerce that helped it grow exponentially.

The local online scene has no competition so it only made sense to launch it in the country. The real challenge for them is how they will tell people to shop on their website. Paying online is a very difficult for most online users that's why it hard for this online mall to lure them on their website. It is just difficult for online users since they are expose their credit card and personal information online. It is actually more difficult for them since most of the online users don't have credit cards. This hampered the growth of Ecommerce in the country. This doesn't mean that the local consumers are unaware of local online payments.

It's quite hard for customers to not focus on risk before looking on the reward that lies ahead. It pretty clear that we don't trust online stores right away. It's inevitable that we think of them as scammers online. It is what makes Ecommerce very hard to penetrate for online businesses. The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall came up with a solution to eliminate these two huge issues in the local Ecommerce. The Philippines' Online Shopping Mall finally introduced Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. in online. This allows local online users to pay only after they receive their orders and not upfront, which is the usual setup with online malls.
