Keeping online customers happy

It was during the second quarter when website like Lazada came into the picture. The famous Samwer brothers are under their company Rocket Internet owns it. Aside from Philippines, it's a venture that is also launched in other South East Asia countries. The Ecommerce in the country was still new and gave them the opportunity to put up a venture in the region; especially the economy is doing well. Rocket Internet is actually well known globally before they even launched Lazada in South East Asia. Shopping online in other countries is already pretty common and is already part of the lifestyle. The growth of Ecommerce in the country was pretty slow before their arrival.

The local online community wasn't prepared for online transactions yet. It was somehow a sort of a foreign idea for them.  Not everyone have decent Internet connection. Credit cards are not common in the country, as most of us don't have one. Payments via credit cards are the most acceptable payment method by online stores. Unconventionally, Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. was introduced to the customers, allowing them to pay in cash instead of the conventional online payments. This Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. payment method changed everyone's perception in online shopping.

Today, more local offline business is now transitioning to online ever since they arrived in the country. Online business suddenly had relevance to local businessmen after Lazada showed it to them. A lot of challenges were lingering in Ecommerce just a few years back. They had almost no one who are capable to pay online are willing to shop online. They are actually afraid of paying online as it exposes the confidential details.

The growth of Ecommerce was so slow because of these online shopping woes. Almost local classifieds were the ones that were entertained by the local online community The online scene was really challenging for the local online malls initially. Online shopping was still uncommon, that's why no one seriously invested in the country in Ecommerce.

What the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall did is they launched full online marketing campaigns when they arrived. It was actually hard to miss them out in online. It definitely helped their brand to get established quicker than the usual to the local online users. What they did for a year is out of the ordinary. Let’s not forget that prior to their arrival in the country, Ecommerce was not a high rising industry. As a matter of fact, it is one of the most challenged industries in the Philippines.

Their overall online shopping service made them standout among their competition. This helped them to be trusted by their loyal customers. As for new customers, it won’t be hard for them to convert them to returning customer for the next time around they visit their website. They usually convert the Customers can also avail free delivery availability on top of the Cash on Delivery alternative payment method. It offers manufacturer's warranty what is at par with what traditional mall gives out to their customers.
