LazadaPH: Other website factors to consider in online shopping

Are you one of the local online users that just gets easily annoyed if you visit a website and gave you a hard time accessing it? Of course, there’s always website load speed and unfriendly user interface. But can you imagine these websites and you go back in time when Internet was just starting to rise in the late 90’s? Yeah I know, it’s way better than the old days website where it’s just filled with pure text information. It’s boring unless you are not fond of reading. But I guess, you wouldn’t be connecting online if you were not even a novice reader. I mean why would you go online if you know it’s just all text and reading material online? I think its more a necessity rather than a luxury. Probably you went online in the past to may be conduct a research for work or school.

Beyond that, the percentage of online users who go online to be entertained was way low then. It’s clear that we really came along way blasting back to the present. The demands of technology and Internet usage have increased significantly with the availability of affordable local brands for smartphones and netbooks. The online audience in the country had truly increased over time. Thanks for the arrival of Ecommerce website like Lazada in the Philippines. Ever since their arrival early last year, Ecommerce started to create noise in the local online community. Their introduced Cash on Delivery payment method, allowed almost anyone to try online shopping on their store without the conventional online shopping conditions such as payment via credit card and up front payment before processing the customer’s orders.

With this payment method, anyone can visit their website and order anything they want and pay in cash offline. No need to worry about paying upfront. All they need to do is just leave their address for the shipment. They can get to keep their money up until their order arrives at their doorstep. This was actually inevitable to happen for any company who offered or did what Lazada did. But what makes them better than other online store besides these above the fold online setup is that their website is very user friendly. Any first time visitors won’t have a hard time browsing to their website. It’s very hard for someone to get lost as they can always for to their internal search to see the product they are looking for. Conventionally, a typical online store relies on images and other media formats to enhance the impression of whatever they are selling. Relying only on text format information will surely not entice a potential online customer. Chances are it will force them not to buy from your website at all. But with images and media formats uploaded on your website, this will not affect the website load speed of the users. But with Lazada, they still managed to have decent balance on having a very intuitive website full of images while maintaining an acceptable website load speed
