The
Internet is continuing to expand each year. Regardless of how much the
Technology evolved through the passing of time, Internet still managed to
evolve along with it. Before we were satisfied using the Internet as our quick
source of information. I know, I’ve done it when I was still in high school. It
really made my homework and research much faster than when we only had
libraries and almanacs as our main source of information. But ever since we
went to the early 2000s, Internet started to make an impact on our lives. No
longer it was just thought of a way to get information but it went beyond its
original purpose. It was a good thing for us that we can now enjoy a better
living through the use of Internet. It also has become a platform for business.
Evidently,
a lot of online industry surfaced the Internet. One of which is the Ecommerce
industry where it became very dependable to most of the countries. It gave them
an alternative option beside the traditional offline activities such as
shopping. However, online shopping in our country struggled during the mid
2000’s. The demands in technology made it tough for the Philippines to catch
up. We were a couple of steps behind from countries that were already enjoying
online shopping then. Although, the online scenery changed last year when
website like Lazada arrived in the Philippines. It was the first online
shopping mall in the country that offered almost everything you can see on a
department store. It was actually a good timing for them. Local smartphones and
netbook brands were available everywhere.
This
made the online market expand exponentially comparing to the previous years
since a lot were online compared from the previous years. But what made Lazada
successful was not only because they had perfect timing. They actually came in
the country and knew what to do. They offered Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. as an
alternative payment method to the local online community. This allowed everyone
to become customers since they can pay in cash as their orders are delivered at
their very homes. No longer having no credit card prohibits anyone from
shopping on their online store. Anyone can go directly to their lazada.com.ph
website and order anything they want. They don’t even need to pay upfront since
all they need to do is leave their shipment address.
Personally,
I prefer Lazada
PH among the other local online stores we have. It is because they have a
vey user friendly website. Despite having a lot of images, which makes a
website load slower, it still loads decently. Also, their website is very easy
to understand. I think any user who visits them for the first time won’t have a
hard time navigating through their online store. They made sure that their
customers won’t have a hard time to shop on their website. Besides, it would
defeat the purpose of convenience.
