As
the Internet continually evolves each year, the demands in Internet usage and
website performance gets higher. It’s actually very surprising that Internet
evolved to this point. Thinking back when they were just starting. Many
considered it as just an option that we can use to make our research much
faster. I’m pretty sure most of us still recall this phase of the Internet
history. We only connect online to get information. It’s true that it made our
assignments and work faster and more efficient. But never did I imagine that it
would become part of our lifestyle in this modern digital era. At best, I just
considered them as luxury. But now that it became integral in our way of
living. Most notably when it became a bridge for us to connect to one another from
a global aspect. Thanks to the arrival of Social Media, it made sense for us to
stay online a little longer than what it used to be. Then the Ecommerce
industry came into the picture. It gave the people another option as their alternative-shopping
destination.
In
the Philippines, online shopping only took off last year when website like LazadaPH came
into the country. Ever since their arrival, other competitors joined in the
competition. It actually helped the growth of the Ecommerce industry. However,
the challenge to these online stores was the limitation of the online community
to pay online. Conventionally, online stores only accept credit cards as the
way of payment of their customers. Although, some of them accepted other
conventional payment method such as using their Paypal accounts. With Lazada,
they still offered conventional online payments but also offered unconventional
payment method such as Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. They were actually one of the
first to offer this kind of payment method by an online store. The reason
competitors can’t adapt to this payment method is because the risk was way
higher than the reward. But true to their word, they still offered it since it
is one of the quickest ways to entire online customers to buy from them without
hesitation. Why wouldn’t they? They can hold onto their money up until they
receive their orders right at their doorstep. Customers who select Cash on
Delivery or C.O.D. can directly go to the Lazada website and just leave their
shipment address after their shopping. All they need to do is wait for the
orders to arrive between two to five days for it to be processed and delivered.
Others
I heard received their orders as early as within the day. It’s pretty clear
that Lazada greatly improved in catering overall service to their customers
with their vast improvement. What’s makes them even better than other online
stores is their very friendly user interface. First time I visited their
website I didn’t have a hard time figuring out on how to navigate it. I think
even non-Internet savvy users will understand it easily. On top of that they
even have a website load speed despite having too many medial files on their
content.
